Simple to Operate with Minimal Staff Requirments
TeleCLAIM++ has been designed with specifications for
administration that assumes very little computer skills. The
Administrator; however, should be very familiar with Drug Benefit Plan
planned. Usually Administrators are Pharmacists, Pharmacy trained or
experienced Pharmacy assistants.
This individual most likely is currently in charge of an existing
Benefit Plan and will be vested with the authority to designate the
Formulary used and all characteristics of the Benefit Plan called for
by Marketing and approved by management.
The Administrator will be responsible for Plan Design, Formulary
Management, reconciling disputes with Providers, and general
management of system operations.
The TeleCLAIM++ is a highly automatic functioning system requiring
minimal manual intervention. All maintenance functions require manual
operation online while the system remains in operation without
interruption.
Maintenance functions include Plan creation by PlanBuilder,
insertion of security profiles of personnel designated with limited
access to the system databases, online updates, etc.
Inasmuch as the TeleCLAIM++ system uses a common Internet Browser,
such as MS Explorer, the training required is concentrated on
TeleCLAIM++ specific functions with out the necessity of Operating
System training.
A number of our clients have assigned clerical personnel already
performing other functions with office equipment to assume Operator
roles. This role is not a full-time responsibility ordinarily but may
approach full-time with larger and larger Rx volumes. The number of
individual in this role should be a minimum of two in order to have
operational coverage during vacations, sickness or departures.
Finally, an IT experienced individual, common to most businesses,
should be available a few hours a week to perform system maintenance
functions and problem resolution, if any, with DpRx technical staff. A
typical example of a maintenance problem, requiring an IT person
intervention, would be the eventual failure of computer hardware that
must be replaced. In this process, the IT person needs to be dedicated
to problem resolution until successfully completed. Otherwise, the IT
personnel requirements are minimal after initial installation.
