It’s Time to Revisit Your PBM Outsource Decision !
DpRx’s newest software products provide a cost-effective solution for companies already offering Prescription Benefit Plans by outsourcing its management to a PBM. Huge advancements in computer technology have motivated manufacturers to focus on the Internet marketplace. This new paradigm has made obsolete the old main frame solutions that are slowly being recognized for their excessive expense burden. Tolerating these greater outsourcing costs is no longer necessary with Internet based systems that are more suited to on-line, real-time processing of business transactions. The Internet solution has been facilitated by the demographics of computer literacy existing in the general populace. The universal acceptance of PC platforms and software provided by Internet Browsers and packages has transformed the vast majority of business personnel to a modern-day Internet paradigm. DpRx had realized, back in 1998, the Internet harbinger of future business environments. The company meticulously and methodically transformed their legacy system (called TeleCLAIM) into an eRetail system developed to benefit from all the Internet real-time capabilities. Inasmuch as the computer industry had standardized data forms, the new TeleCLAIM++ Internet system is easily converted to from the older main frame systems. This is true for in-house systems or for administration outsourced to more expensive PBMs. Great productivity gains will be realized as a result of the real-time nature of the administrative tasks performed by all the various parties involved. The instantaneous availability of all relevant data via Internet access required by the relevant need-to-know personnel virtually eliminates the vast majority of hard-copy generation and delivery costs. Simple and secure access to all real-time data is possible for the Sponsor, Providers, and Insurance clients. This accelerates the entire cash flow stream and minimizes the overhead of document storage and filing and mail expense. |
